The Italian victim of a minibus crash
in Cuba Thursday has been named as the coordinator of the
Italian tour agency Avventure nel Mondo, Patrizia Crisolini
Malatesta, 67, a company official said Friday, adding that her
Cuban driver was also killed in the accident.
"We confirm that the accident in Cuba involved a group of 6
travelers from Avventure nel Mondo plus the Cuban chaperone and
guide," Susanna Ceccherini told ANSA.
"The dynamics are not yet clear but we know that the van
collided with a truck and ended up off the road.
"There are two dead: our coordinator Patrizia Crisolini
Malatesta, 67, and her driver.
"Contrary to what is being said, there were also two injured
people who underwent surgery and are out of danger".
