Italy's Olympic champ Arianna Fontana
won her second gold of the day at the European Short Track
championships in Dresden when Italy took the relay event.
After winning the 1,000m, Fontana and Chiara Betti, Elisa
Confortola, and Gloria Ioriatti, together with Arianna Sighel
who had competed in the semifinal, won the women's 3,000-meter
relay race.
Silver for Hungary and bronze for Poland.
Italy therefore ended the first day of competition with 4
medals: the 2 golds for Arianna Fontana in the 1,000 meters and
the women's relay, the silver for Pietro Sighel in the 500
meters and the bronze for Elisa Confortola in the 1,000 meters.
