Istat said Thursday that its
calendar-adjusted production index for Italy's construction
sector rose by 5% in 2024.
The national statistics agency said the index's average for last
year was 137.3 points, the highest level since 2008.
It added, however, that its seasonally adjusted production index
for construction was down by 1.7% in December compared to
November.
