The Consul General of Italy in Barcelona, Emanuele Manzitti, together with the Director General of Unesco, Audrey Azoulay, visited the 'Ocean & Climate Village' exhibition organised by the Prada Group with Unesco in Barcelona as part of the Sea Beyond project, on the occasion of the 37th America's Cup, informs a note from the Consulate General.
The exhibition aims to educate our societies, and in particular the younger generations, on the preservation of marine environments, oceans and biodiversity, through workshops and immersive experiences.
Following the visit, Consul General Manzitti accompanied Director General Azoulay to a subsequent meeting with Lorenzo Bertelli and Max Sirena at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base.
The visit highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships, technology and innovation to protect our planet and underlined Italy's leading role in Unesco.
