The Honorary Vice Consulate of San Isidro is back in operation in Argentina thanks to the assumption of duties as Honorary Vice Consul by Ing. Paolo Alliata di Montereale. This was reported in a note by the Consulate General of Italy in Buenos Aires, specifying that the new office will be operational for the
reception of the public from Tuesday 18 February in the new office located at Primera Junta 675, San Isidro.
In this first phase of renewed operations, the note continues, the Vice Consulate will be open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and will offer compatriots residing in the districts of San Isidro, San Fernando, Tigre and in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sections of the Paraná Delta islands, the services of issuing passports; updating civil status; and registration and/or updating in the Registry of Italians Resident Abroad (Aire).
At a later stage, the services of authentication of signatures and certification of life existence for pension purposes will also be operational.
The Consul General of Italy in Buenos Aires, Carmelo Barbera, said he was "very pleased with the reopening" of the office, which "will make it possible to provide some important consular services to compatriots in the northern districts of the Capital in an even more capillary manner", and extended "his warmest wishes for a good job" to Honorary Vice Consul Alliata di Montereale.
