The concert by guitarist Stéphan Masserano, scheduled to take place at the Centre des Musiques Arabes et Méditerranéennes, Ennejma Ezzahra Palace in Tunis on 21 February, is a journey between Italy and Spain, from the baroque elegance of Gaspar Sanz to the passion of Francisco Tárrega and the evocative beauty of Manuel di Falla. The programme will include pieces such as Recuerdos de la Alhambra and Mauro Giuliani's brilliant Rossiniana, offering an opportunity for classical guitar enthusiasts and live music lovers to pay homage to the Italian and Spanish musical repertoire. The event, born out of the collaboration between the Italian Embassy and the Embassy of Spain, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Cervantes Institute of Tunis, represents the first initiative within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024 between the Directorate General of Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish Cervantes Institute.
Stéphan Masserano has been selected by the Accademia Chigiana to be part of the Young Italian Musical Talents in the World project, an initiative realised in collaboration with the Farnesina and the Italian National Music Committee.
