Macfrut, the most important Italian exhibition and one of the main international ones dedicated to fruit and vegetables, signed today in Nairobi a memorandum of understanding with the Agriculture and Food Authority of Kenya (Afa) for cooperation in the field of horticulture, with the support of the Italian Embassy and the Ice regional office.
The day, which also included the presentation of the Italian fruit and vegetable companies that participated in the mission of Macfrut, whose forty-second edition will be held next May in Rimini and in which Kenyan companies will also participate, was opened by the speech of Ambassador Roberto Natali.
"The presence of Italian companies such as Macfrut in this country is important to give an added value to a primary sector such as agriculture. A value that is not only to make available one's own experiences, but above all to share and compare them, in order to obtain mutual benefits,' said Natali. The President of Macfrut, Renzo Piraccini, and the Director General of Afa, Bruno Linyiru, were also present at the signing of the memorandum of understanding.
