The Italian Ambassador to Riyadh Carlo Baldocci met with the Governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Nayef al Saud, on the occasion of his recent mission to the region, with whom he discussed the prospects of relations between Italy and the Eastern Province.
The Ambassador and the Governor,' informs a note from the Embassy, 'discussed topics of common interest and shared the opportunity to deepen relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia, also through closer relations with a Province, the Eastern Province, which plays a role of primary importance in the Saudi economy. They discussed the traditional presence of Italian companies engaged in the energy sector and their contribution to the development of the area, prospects for growing collaboration in the cultural sphere, and upcoming exchanges of visits to focus on shared initiatives.
