On Sunday 23 February, the Italian Embassy in Yangon will host a 'Culture, Heritage and Art Fair'. The event, with free admission, is aimed at presenting Italian culture and art and providing a meeting platform for the Burmese cultural sector and artists.
The aim of the fair is to make the public discover the different facets of art and culture in Italy, and to strengthen contacts with local artists, galleries, organisations and artists. Cultural activities, seminars and performances will enable visitors to interact with different visions and artistic projects. At the same time, a series of exhibitions will focus on the theme of travel and exploration. Works from the drawing competition 'The Crab Prince', inspired by Italo Calvino's short story, will also be on display.
