The Italian Ambassador to Dublin, Nicola Faganello, together with the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in the Irish capital Marco Gioacchini, paid a visit to the Conway Institute of Biomolecular & Biomedical Research at University College Dublin-Ucd. The visit allowed him to meet the Italian and Irish professors and researchers working at the institute, in particular the NanoBioPhysics Laboratory, founded and led by Professor Antonio Benedetto, and the Cancer Biology & Therapeutics Laboratory, founded by William Gallagher and co-led by five research managers, including Professor Maria Prencipe, and also to learn about their very challenging, innovative and promising activities and projects, as well as to discuss possible collaborations with Italian academic and research institutions.
