The Italian Embassy in Wellington, in collaboration with Carolina Izzo (Studio Izzo) and Paola Boarin (University of Auckland), has organised two events to celebrate Italian Design Day 2025.
The first will take place in Auckland on 19 March, at 6.30 pm, at the University's conference centre. The second in Wellington, on 21 March at 5.30 pm at the Futuna Chapel. Both events will feature Ākau Studio and First Light Studio, with a presentation on 'Inequalities: how to
remedy the Fractures of Humanity', the main theme of this year's Design Day.
This will be followed by a debate on the role of design in countering inequalities and social fractures by finding innovative and sustainable solutions.
