Italy's double MotoGP world champion
Francesco Bagnaia won the sprint race at the Emilia Romagna
Grand Prix at the Misano track on Saturday.
The Ducati factory team rider took the chequered flag ahead of
championship leader Jorge Martin of the Ducati Pramac team.
Bagnaia's team-mate Enea Bastianini came third to complete the
podium.
Saturday's victory enabled Bagnaia to trim Spaniard Martin's
lead at the top of the standings from seven points to four.
Bagnaia will start the main event on Sunday in pole position
after clocking the fastest time in qualifying earlier on
Saturday.
Martin is second on the grid, with Bastianini completing the
front row.
