Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni on
Monday told a joint press conference with her British
counterpart Keir Starmer in Rome that decisions concerning the
use of Western long-range missiles by Ukraine to target Russian
territory concern single countries also based on their
legislation and constitution with such an authorization in Italy
"today not under discussion".
She explained that the issue is a subject of debate with other
countries.
Meloni stressed that such a position "must not be read as
backing away from Ukraine".
