Italy's Antitrust Authority said on
Friday that it has opened an investigation into Eni's Plenitude
unit over alleged unfair commercial practices.
The probe will look into Eni's retail and renewable business
strategy in the renewal of contracts, the authority said in a
note.
Consumers have reported that electricity and gas supply
contracts were allegedly renewed under different terms and
conditions by the company without prior notice, the authority
explained.
