Pope Francis, recuperating after a
scary bout of pneumonia, won't be at the next big Jubilee event,
the Jubilee of missionaries of mercy on March 28-30 but will
send the a message, Vatican sources told ANSA Sunday.
His entourage is waiting, on the other hand, to be able to
evaluate his improvements for the event considered among the
most important on the horizon, that is, the canonization of
Carlo Acutis for which 100,000 people have already registered.
Acutis, a student from Lombardy who died from leukaemia at the
age of 15 in 2006 and became a
model of Christian life for many young believers as well as a
sort of 'patron saint of the internet', will be canonised during
the Roman Catholic Jubilee after being beatified on 10 October
2020 in Assisi.
