The Italian Ambassador to Iraq Niccolò Fontana met today with the President of the Iraqi House of Representatives, Mahmoud Al Mashadani, to congratulate him on his recent appointment.
The cordial meeting," the embassy announced, "was an opportunity to confirm the ancient bonds of friendship between Italy and Iraq and to discuss the importance of Iraq's stability for the entire region. The meeting also made it possible to enhance the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a fundamental tool for deepening bilateral relations.
