The Italian Ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, met with the military delegation of the Vittorio Veneto Division, which concluded today in Tbilisi the second preparatory phase of the NATO GEORGIA 2025 exercise that will take place in Krtsanisi from 28 April to 8 May at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre.
The training activity aims to demonstrate the capabilities of the Joint Training and Evaluation Centre based in Krtsanisi, testing a Brigade consisting mainly of Georgian personnel with the addition of some multinational elements. Countries that have already confirmed their participation include Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey and the United States. Armenia will also be present as an observer.
The Italian Army's Florence-based Vittorio Veneto Division Command, recently designated Nanto Multinational Division South Command, will direct the exercise, first organised in 2016 and now in its fourth edition.
