Udinese's Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka
Okoye is being probed by criminal prosecutors in Udine in
relation to "anomalous" betting on him being booked in his
side's match against Lazio in Rome last March, Messaggero Veneto
reported on Friday.
The 25-year-old was given a yellow card for time-wasting in the
second half of his side's 2-1 win.
The owner of a pizzeria Okoye frequently dines at is also under
investigation, according to the report.
Okoye, who is currently unavailable after surgery on his wrist,
also risks a four-year ban from football from the sporting
authorities if he is found guilty of involvement in illegal
betting.
